Howard has more than 30 years of corporate sales and executive leadership experience. From 1983 – 2004 he managed the Education Banking Division at FleetBoston Financial, originating over $1 Billion in annual student loan volume. In 2004, he started Academic Finance Corporation, a marketing & consulting company that provides services to hundreds of higher education institutions nationwide. He has extensive experience in sales, marketing, promotion, fundraising, grant writing and strategic planning. In addition, he has a strong track record of establishing innovative partnerships within the higher education community.
Howard holds an MA in Theology from Assumption College and a BA in History and English, also from Assumption College. An arts aficionado, he also serves as Curator of Worcester Windows and Executive Director of First Night Worcester, the oldest First Night celebration in the United States and one of the largest arts celebrations in Massachusetts. He lives in Massachusetts with his family.
